• Department of English (SF) won the overall shield for securing third place in ‘Neo-Idola’ Inter-Collegiate Competitions organized by Sri Kaliswari College, Sivakasi.
• Ms.G.Jeya Bharathi of III B.A. English (SF) secured the first rank in the Science Talent Quiz conducted by Shakespeare Institute of English Studies.
• Ms.G.Varsha of II B.A. English (SF) secured the first rank in the English Spelling Contest conducted by Shakespeare Institute of English Studies.
• Ms.D.Percila Jenifer of II B.A. English (SF) won the first prize in the Accuracy Test in English conducted by Shakespeare Institute of English Studies.
• Ms.M.Nandhini of III B.A. English (SF) was honoured with Sakalakalavalli award in the category ‘Best Singer’.
• Thirteen students from our department got placed in various companies through the job fairs conducted in the college.

2019 – 2020

• Twenty-five students from our department got placed in various companies in campus interview as English Language Trainers, Handwriting Trainers and Business Development Officers.
• Nine students from our department presented their research papers in the national seminar on ‘Short Stories around the World’ organized by V.H.N.S.N College, Virudhunagar.
• Ms.M.Sivaneka of III B.A. English (SF) was rewarded with cash award in Leadership Award Programme conducted by Rotary Club of Virudhunagar.
• Ms.S.Bharathi of III B.A. English (SF) won the second prize in Dance drama in the Inter-Collegiate Competitions organized by Fatima College, Madurai on the theme ‘South Asian Literature’.
• Our students won the first prize in Short Story Writing, Tableau, Rangoli, Mono Act and Modal Display and the second prize in Face Painting in ‘Lit Faire – 2020’ - Inter-Collegiate Competitions organized by Saiva Bhanu Kshatriya College, Aruppukottai.

2020 - 2021

• Twenty of our students got placed as Language Trainers in Smart English Institute through the job fair conducted in the college.
• Ms.K.Krishnaveni of III B.A. English (SF) won the third prize in essay writing competition conducted by Sri Padmanaban Kalvi Trust, Chengalpattu.
• Ms.S.Nithya of III B.A. English (SF) and Ms.R.K.Padma Pooja of II B.A. English (SF) won the first prize and third prize in essay writing competition organized by Govt. P. G. College for Women Sector - 14, Panchkula on the topic ‘Tsunami Natural Disaster’.
• Ms.P.Anantha Sri won the first prize in Speech and the third prize in Animation in the Inter-Collegiate Competitions organized by Madurai Kamaraj University on the topic ‘Covid-19’.

• Ms.G.Harini of III B.A. English (SF) won the second prize in Paper Presentation in the Inter-Collegiate Competition ‘Neo-Idola’ organized by Sri Kaliswari College, Sivakasi.
• Ms.R.Keerthana of II B.A. English (SF) won the third prize in Pencil Drawing in the Inter-Collegiate Competition ‘Neo-Idola’ organized by Sri Kaliswari College, Sivakasi.
• Ms.S.Varsha of I B.A. English (SF) won the first prize in Kho-Kho in the Inter-Collegiate Competition organized by Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College, Madurai.

• Ms.R.Keerthana of III B.A. English (SF) won the third prize in Pencil Drawing on the topic ‘Feminism’ in the Inter-Collegiate Competition organized by Sri Kaliswari College, Sivakasi.
• Ms.R.Keerthana of III B.A. English (SF) won the first prize in Painting in the Inter-Collegiate Competition ‘Muses’ 2023’ organized by V.H.N.S.N College, Virudhunagar.
• Ms.A.Chairmakani won the second prize in Kho-Kho and fourth prize in Badminton in the Inter-Collegiate Competitions organized by Madurai Kamaraj University.

• Dr.K.M.Keerthika served as the Chief Guest for the Language Club Inauguration held on 04 October 2023 at Mohamed Sathak Engineering College and delivered a special address on “Importance of English Language.”
• Dr.K.M.Keerthika received an Award from Cosmic Inception Publication under the category Emerging Star Award 2023, for securing in top 100 national writers in India in the field of writing.
• Dr.K.M.Keerthika received an Iconic Award 2023 from Covai Chronicles and The Global Ties under the category Mentor of the Year for Students Development.
• Mrs.A.Poornima Devi successfully completed an 8-week NPTEL online course titled “Gender and Literature.”

• Ms.S.Varsha won the I Prize in the Easy Entry Yoga Category at the 1st National Yoga Championship conducted by KVS Managing Board and KVS Sports Academy on 15 October 2023.

• Mrs.C.Vijayalakshmi and Mrs.A.S.Renuga jointly published an article titled “Human Complexity in In Custody by Anita Desai” in the Multidisciplinary Journal Publication of V.V.Vanniaperumal College for Women in December 2024.
• Ms.S.Savitha Velmani published an article titled “Literary Threads: Exploring the Art of Costume in Literature” in Juni Khyat, February 2025.
• Mrs.C.Vijayalakshmi, Mrs.A.S.Renuga and Ms.S.Savitha Velmani got cash prizes for publishing research articles.
• Mrs.A.Poornima Devi successfully completed two online courses: a 12-week course titled “Literary Theory: English Literature” offered through Udemy on 09 May 2024, and “Feminist Writings” through NPTEL.
