Library and Information Science
The program aims to provide access to information, resources, and
services that promote personal growth, cultural enrichment, and lifelong learning. Students are motivated to learn new things and receive guidance in various aspects of their lives. The curriculum also focuses on developing
strong communication, research, and organizational skills, while staying updated with the latest technologies and trends in library and information science. Lastly, the program aims to promote literacy and information technology, enriching the overall curriculum.
Objectives
- To impart both theoretical and practical knowledge of Library and Information Science.
- To enable the students to have a complete understanding of ICT tools available to access and retrieve e-
resources.
- To provide inter-disciplinary knowledge and technical skills to the students to enhance their
employability opportunities.
- To facilitate students’ soft skills as well as tech-savvy hi-tech skills to tackle practical issues and to enrich them to face competitive examinations with self confidence.
- To enable the students to think analytically to maintain eco-friendly atmosphere in the smart libraries of
today.
