History of the Department
The Department of Computer Applications was started in the academic year 2002-2003 with the intake of 48 and gradually increased to 96 with two sections from the academic year 2016 – 2017 to overcome the increasing number of students’ admission in BCA. In the year 2023-24 one section of BCA was converted into BCA- Graphic Design with the intake of 40. The need for opening of BCA- Graphic design is to provide plenty of job opportunities in various fields such as animation, fashion design, interior design and etc. The backbone of the department is a team of well qualified, experienced and committed faculty members who contribute to the development of the academic expertise and interpersonal skills of the students. The department is equipped with spacious class rooms, conference hall with LCD projector, Computer Lab with internet connectivity and a well established library with 2500 text and reference books.
