Students of Department of Computer Science (Aided) & Department of Computer Applications (UG) won the Runner-Up shield in the State Level Intercollegiate Meet Innovatia’23 organized by the Department of Computer Science, Lady Doak College, Madurai

2022-2023

Dr. R. Barani was appointed as NAAC Coordinator.
Dr.G.Karthigai Lakshmi and Dr.R.Barani conducted Administrative, Academic Audit for Saradha College for Women, Tirunelveli as external auditors on 25.05.2023.
Dr.G.Karthigai Lakshmi and Mrs.M.Sangeetha Alias Sheeba had been sanctioned an amount of Rs.24000 for a Management funded project entitled ‘Creation of Multilingual audio books for Visually Challenged Students’
The department has organized 2 Faculty Development Programmes, 1 Lab Assistant Activity, 1 Outreach programme for school students, 8 programmes (1 Guest Lecture and 7 workshops) for Computer Science students on various topics under DBT Star College Scheme.
The department students won the overall shield in intercollegiate competitions which was organised by the Department of Computer Science, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College Sivakasi.

2021-2022

The faculty members of department of Computer Science served the institution by playing play key roles in the institution.

Dr.G.Karthigai Lakshmi delivered a Guest Lecture on the topic Machine Learning in Bioinformatics on 16-02-2022 as part of DBT – CTEP Popular Lecture Series.
Dr.G.Karthigai Lakshmi gave a Hands-on-training to the UG Physics students on the topic Introduction to Python under the DBT activities of Physics department.
Under DBT Star College Scheme, the department has organised 4 Faculty Development Programmes, 1 Lab Assistant Activity, 1 Out-reach programme for school students, a Conference and a workshop for Computer Science students on various topics.
The department organised an Inter-institutional Conference on Big Data under DBT Star College Scheme.
As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations the department organized COMPU-WORDATHON. Nearly 600 words were presented by the students to improve their digital vocabulary. The event was recorded.
Our department students won the overall shield in intercollegiate competitions which was organised by the Department of Computer Science, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College Sivakasi.

2020-2021

The academic year 2020-2021 has witnessed the successful completion of second year by Dr.G.Karthigai Lakshmi as controller and Dr.R.Barani as IQAC Coordinator.
Dr.G.Karthigai Lakshmi act as a Judge for a Paper Presentation session in State Level Intercollegiate Tech Meet at VSVN Polytechnic for the topic” Security in Social Networks”.
Dr.K.Annbuselvi act as staff in charge for E-content & College You tube Channel. She also act as DBT department coordinator (from 2020 on wards) and NAAC department Coordinator.
The academic year 2018-2019 has witnessed the successful completion of fourth year by Dr.R.Barani as IQAC Coordinator.

HISTORY
The Campus Company Techie Tree Solutions was started by the Department of Computer Science (Aided) with an objective of developing customized software solutions to the institution and making the students industry-ready. It has its inception in academic year 2019-2020. Under the dynamic leadership & guidance of Dr. G. Kathigai Lakshmi, faculty members Mrs. P. Aruna Devi and Mrs. T. Chitra of Computer Science (SF) Department initiated the software development. Twenty One students from UG and PG Computer Science were selected. They were given training in the Open Source Software PHP for 2 Weeks. Later they developed software for Hostel management. Software was also developed for Question Paper Setter selection, and Analysis of Student feedback on Faculty and Institution. In the academic year 2020-2021, they updated the software for Analysis of Student feedback on Faculty and Institution. They also updated the software for UG NME selection and developed the software for PG NME selection. For the academic year 2021-2022, sixteen students from MCA, UG and PG Computer Science were selected. They updated the software for Question Paper Setter selection. Some of our company members attended courses on Android Application Development and Web Development which were organized by Computer Science (SF) under the MoU signed with DCE Technology, Virudhunagar. For the academic year 2022-2023, seventeen students from MCA, UG and PG Computer Science were selected. They developed software for Outcome attainment calculation for outcome based education. Some of our company members attended courses on Android Application Development and Web Development which were organized by Computer Science (SF) under the MoU signed with DCE Technology, Virudhunagar. From working for this company, members were able to enhance their Communication skills, technical knowledge and team management skills. They felt as if they were working in real IT sector.
